Our Passion
We began by raising and selling the very best fresh Oyster Mushrooms to Colorado’s top chefs, grocers, and restaurants. We often heard, “Wow! These mushrooms are beautiful!”
This commitment to quality has lead us to produce ‘Better Mushrooms a Better WayTM.’ Raising the standards again has now resulted in our premier ‘Crafted Mushroom Jerky.’
We set a high bar. We wanted to create a mushroom jerky that looked like, felt like, and chewed like classic meat jerky. It also had to be gourmet and natural.
Our Farm
Honestly, our mushroom farm is not your normal one. Like everything else we’re about, we’ve pushed the envelope of how we do what we do. And it all starts with where we work.
Most people think our mushroom farm looks more like a high-tech lab than a place where mushrooms are grown. We innovated some forward-thinking production ideas and expanded from there.
Walking through our facility is an impressive experience. We hear that all the time. It highlights our technology, our cleanliness, and our strict adherence to quality control. It’s all part of doing the best we can.
Our Process
It’s one thing to have great mushrooms to work with; it’s another thing to turn those beauties into something extraordinary. It’s why we produce ‘Crafted Mushroom Jerky.’
We didn’t follow any well-worn paths. Instead, we did what made sense to us. Every setback was a valuable lesson learned. Every success was something we needed to further refine.
By now, we’ve figured out a thing or two. There are no shortcuts to making a ‘Better Jerky for a Better YouTM.’ There is a lot of attention to detail, and that will never change.

Our People
If you don’t have a great team behind a great idea, then nothing will get where it needs to go. The right people are important.
Most of King Frog’s team have been with the Company since its start. We’re a group of foodies, artisans, technicians, and out-of-the-box thinkers. We encourage new ideas, and we care about sustainable practices just as much as we care about performance and the bottom line.
Patience and long hours are ‘par for the course.’ Always, it takes the ability to wrap enthusiasm around our unknowns.

Our Product
For starters, we use Oyster Mushrooms. They are more fibrous, like meat, and they are ideal for jerky production. Many people are fooled into thinking it’s a meat jerky.
